More than 35 educators from 23 colleges attended the annual Optics and Photonics College Network (OPCN) meetings and industry site visits during the High Impact Technology Exchange Conference (HI-TEC) in Pittsburgh, July 28-30, 2016.  On Tuesday morning, 40 members of the group boarded a chartered bus for a tour at Inventionland, a magical place where inventors develop and market new products ideas.  Thirty OPCN members also received an in-depth customized tour of the Infrared Optics Division of II-VI Incorporated.  II-VI is a global leader in engineered materials and optoelectronic components and its Infrared Optics Division is the world leader in CO2 laser optics.  Many memories and new friendships were made in Pittsburgh!
