OP-TEC Shines Light on Laser Optics and Photonics Careers for Middle and High School Students

OP-TEC hosted an optics and photonics technology awareness exhibit at the City of Waco’s STEAM Day, October 11, 2016. STEAM Day promotes Science, Technology, Engineering, Architecture and Math education and careers to Waco area students. The annual event was created by the City of Waco Public Works Department to inspire middle and high school students to pursue careers in engineering related fields. More than 2,500 students and teachers from more than 30 schools came in busloads to learn about central Texas employers, educational institutions, and local and national public works. We love seeing young people having fun learning about optics and photonics!
