Partner Colleges

OP-TEC Partner Colleges & Regional Photonics Centers

OP-TEC works with two Regional Photonics Centers and three Partner Colleges located across the nation that work together to support the mission of the center. These Partner Colleges serve many roles within the center. One of their primary roles is to serve as mentors and provide technical assistance to institutions currently offering optics and photonics programs or planning to implement new programs. The Partner Colleges also share best practices, assist with training for new faculty and host site visits.

The Partner Colleges are also a critical component of OP-TEC’s curriculum development processes through their participation in curriculum development and testing.  In addition, the Partner Colleges serve on the OP-TEC Steering Committee and represent OP-TEC at local and national events.  Each Partner College has a unique role and specialization at the center.

We invite you to view the following list of OP-TEC Partner Colleges.  Click on the college logo, name or “contact info” link to view the college’s contact information and website link.  The main point of contact for each college is provided along with the college’s area of specialization within OP-TEC.  We encourage you to visit each college’s website and to contact the college directly with any questions or requests for additional information.  We have also provided a link below to access a directory listing of the Partner Colleges.
