Pedagogy:
Each day’s session will be conducted under the supervision of a TSTC faculty member. High school students, teachers and counselors will be paired in two-by-two teams at each lab station. Upon completion of each day’s hands-on laboratories, conducted totally by the team members, each team will report their results to the group as a whole and compare findings. The teams will then explore and discuss how these lab experiments can be introduced back in their own high schools as motivating exercises for students pursuing careers in photonics.
