The Institutes is open to teachers, counselors and students (grades 7-12). Students are selected based on an application. Teachers and counselors must submit an application containing information on their current job position, experience and interest in photonics and photonics-enabled technology fields.

Number of Participant Spaces Available:
The Institute can hold 16 total students, teachers and counselors.
Teacher & Counselor Credits:
Teachers and counselors completing the Institute will be eligible to receive continuing education credits.
Application Status Notification:
Application status notifications will be provided by July 8, 2010. All participants will be notified by e-mail. Additional information about the Institute will also be sent via e-mail. Please be certain and provide a valid e-mail address on your application. If your e-mail address changes during the application period or prior to the Institute, please notify TSTC.
Housing/Meals:
Housing and meals are provided by OP-TEC and TSTC Waco. Participants will be housed in on-campus housing.
Special Notice to Local School District Teachers and Counselors:
Local school district teachers and counselors are not required to stay on TSTC Campus.
Participant Information:
Upon acceptance into the Summer Institute program, all participants will receive an e-mail containing additional information about the program, pertinent maps and location information and travel recommendations.
